Access to Cloud Admin¶
Cloud Admin is available only to users who have been invited to one of the Cloud Admin Sites:
- by Site Owner, for already existing Sites,
- by DHI Customer Care team, for the very first user of the newly created Site,
and finished their user onboarding process successfully.
Invited users receive an invitation email. They need to accept the invitation and then follow the user registration and onboarding instructions.
After a new user is onboarded to the Site, the Owner can attribute a specific role to them (i.e. Owner, Contributor or Reader) and determine what they can do.
There are several levels of access that allow users to see certain parts of the application only when they have rights. The different roles are:
-
Owner: users with this role can administer the Site, see usage statistics, and invite other users (they can determine the roles these new users get). They can run Cloud Applications without restrictions.
-
Contributor: users with this role can add files to the Site and manage the files in the Site, run Cloud Applications without restrictions, but do not have options to administer the Site.
-
Reader: users with this role can see files in the Site, execute Cloud Applications in read-only mode, but do not have options to upload or manage the files in the Site, nor have options to administer the Site.
Users (regardless of role) can only see data folders that they are assigned to.
The very first user of the newly created Cloud Admin Site is automatically assigned the role of Owner so that they can invite other members to the new Site and set up their roles, including appointing other Owners. Once other Owners are appointed, they can adjust the role for the first user, if needed. For more information on how Owners can manage their team user access, please see the chapter Administration of Site Access.
Users can access the Cloud Admin from the URL: https://dataadmin.mike-cloud.com.
