MIKE Metocean Simulator Release Note (1 September 2025)

Release version 1.11

The highlight of this release is a version of the ERA5 wind data set that has been adjusted by DHI for wave model forcing. The new data set is called "Global-AT_ERA5 for wave modelling".

The data set is the same as the wind forcing data set used in the DHI GWM. This enables use of consistent inputs when the new wind data set is combined with boundary conditions from the DHI GWM.

A summary of new features is provided below.

Improvements

  • Added "Global-AT_ERA5 for wave modelling”: New wind data set that is the same as the wind data set used to drive the DHI GWM.
  • Moved Bathymetry to back of layer display: Changed layer display order so that bathymetry is displayed below mesh and mesh inputs when using the assisted meshing option.
