MIKE MESH BUILDER¶

Introduction¶
The MIKE Mesh Builder (abbreviated MB in this guide) is a browser-based application for meshing that can be used online through Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It is currently not meant as a replacement for the MIKE desktop Mesh Generator but meant to explore the possibilities that the MIKE Cloud can bring to the meshing process.
MB is based in the DHI Microsoft Azure Cloud and supports meshing for scientific applications in various environmental flow domains. A mesh is produced from a combination of one or more polygons, polylines and/or points, called geometries. It can then be interpolated using variables. MBs Cloud-based architecture allows multiple users simultaneous access for collaboration and parallel multi-tasking. It produces a high-quality mesh file that meets the demands of simulation engines.
The MB philosophy is to combine decades of engineering knowledge with emerging modern technology, to enable ease of use, precision, and speed.
This application is developed using the Agile process, meaning that updates to it are more frequent than they are for the desktop Mesh Generator.
