Problem solving¶
Since MB is an online service, always check if there are notifications about maintenance on the MIKE Cloud Homepage. If this is not the case and you have repeatedly experienced a problem, this chapter describes how to deal with problems.
File won’t upload¶
When you can’t get a file to upload (i.e. it won’t appear in the MIKE Data Admin or you receive an error warning during the upload) please contact Customer Service. Please include the file you have tried to upload and the error description that you got. A date and time are also convenient for analysis.
File doesn’t work as expected¶
When you are trying to use data from a file that you uploaded and it doesn’t work as expected in MB, check the following:
- Is the file of a supported format (see 3.2.1)?
- Did you upload it with the correct settings for the file format?
- Are you using only one projection system between multiple files (see 3.2.3)?
If these things are in order and you still experience issues, please contact Customer Service. Please include the file you have tried to upload and the error description that you got, as well as a description of when during the process you got it. A date and time are also convenient for analysis.
Maps won’t load / visual inconsistency¶
When map parts won’t load it is possible the system was unable to retrieve them at a certain point in time; the browser (Chrome or Edge) sometimes ‘remembers’ this for a while (caching). This is normally used so previously requested data can be reused, but sometimes this leads to problems.
When you encounter a problem with caching, please try pressing CTRL and F5 at the same time. This is a forced refresh for the browser, and it should refresh all things it currently holds in cache as well (which pressing F5 alone won’t always do).
This fix should also help with other visual inconsistencies. If these you still experience issues, please contact Customer Service. Please include a screenshot (F12 and then paste in your e-mail) of the issue and a description of what you were trying to do and what went wrong. A date and time are also convenient for analysis.
